Why we are called that
A caliper is the tool you measure with. That is not an accident.
Most people buy a monitor arm once, get it wrong, and put up with it. The arm is too weak for the monitor. The clamp does not fit the desk. The monitor has no mounting holes at all. None of that is the buyer's fault. It is the listing's fault, because the listing never gave them the numbers they needed.
So we sell one category and we publish every measurement in it. Screen size range. Load capacity in pounds and kilograms. Mounting pattern. Height range. Clamp thickness. If a number matters to whether the thing will work on your desk, it is on the product page before you pay, not in a PDF after you open the box.
How we choose what to stock
Three rules.
- It has to be measurable. If we cannot get a verified load rating and size range from the manufacturer, we do not list it.
- It has to survive daily use. Gas springs sag, plastic joints crack, cheap clamps mark desks. We would rather list four things that hold up than forty that do not.
- It has to be simple. No power supplies, no firmware, no apps. A mount should work in ten years because there is nothing in it to stop working.
