    VESA pattern

    The four holes on the back of your monitor. Measure centre to centre, horizontally then vertically, in millimetres. Usually 75 x 75 or 100 x 100.

  2. 02

    Monitor weight

    From the spec sheet, without the stand. Gas spring arms have a minimum weight as well as a maximum, and the minimum is real.

  3. 03

    Desk thickness

    Where the clamp will sit. Check nothing is in the way underneath: no cross brace, no cable tray, no drawer runner.
