A 31.5 in felt sling that takes the power strip and the cable nest off the floor. Most of the mess on a desk is not on the desk. It is the loop of cables and the power strip lying underneath, collecting dust and snagging the vacuum. This tray hangs the whole lot beneath the desktop where nobody sees it, and the felt keeps it quiet when you knock it with a knee.

Features and benefits

  • Holds a power strip, adapters and the slack from every cable on the desk
  • Premium eco-friendly felt — no rattle, no sharp edges, no scraped shins
  • 31.5 in long, which covers the working width of most desks
  • Two ways to fit: adhesive tape for a desk you cannot drill, or screws for a permanent install
  • Both mounting kits and ten cable ties are in the box
  • Open top, so you can drop a new cable in without unthreading anything

Before you order

Check what your desktop is made of. The adhesive tape holds well on sealed wood, laminate and metal; on raw or oiled timber, use the screw kit instead.

This is a felt tray, not a steel basket. It is quieter and it will not scratch your knees, but it is meant for cables and a power strip — not for storing tools or heavy hardware.

The 47.2 in version exists if you have a very wide desk. Ask us and we will get it for you.

Good to know

Will it fit my desk?

It needs 31.5 in of clear width under the desktop and enough depth for an 11.8 in tray. Check for a crossbar or a drawer on the underside first — those, not the desktop itself, are what usually get in the way.

Can I fit it without drilling?

Yes. The adhesive tape in the box is the no-drill option and holds on sealed wood, laminate and metal undersides. Clean the surface with alcohol first and leave it an hour before loading the tray, and it will hold a power strip and a full set of cables.

Will a power strip actually fit inside?

Yes — a standard six-outlet strip sits inside the tray with room for its cable and a couple of adapters alongside. Larger surge protectors with a wide body may sit proud of the edge, which still works but looks less tidy.

Does the felt sag over time?

The tray is shaped and stiffened at the edges, so it holds its form under normal load. Loading it with heavy items rather than cables will eventually distort it, which is why it is specified for cables and a power strip.
