A 50 cm bar that clips over your monitor and lights the desk without lighting the screen. A desk lamp beside a monitor does two unwanted things at once: it throws glare across the panel and it puts your own hands in shadow. A screen bar sits above the display and aims forward and down, so the keyboard and the page are lit and the screen stays clean.

Before you order
The clip is shaped for a flat-backed monitor. It sits over the top bezel and is held by its own counterweight, so it suits panels up to roughly 3 cm thick at the top edge. Very thick or steeply curved backs may not seat well.
Powered over USB-C at 5 V. Most monitors with a USB port will run it. There is no mains adapter in the box.

Will a screen bar cause glare on my monitor?
No — that is the specific problem it is designed to avoid. The optics are asymmetric, throwing light forward onto the desk and cutting it off before it reaches the panel, which is why a screen bar works where a desk lamp placed beside the monitor does not.
Does it need its own power outlet?
No. It draws 5 V over USB-C, so it runs from a spare port on your monitor, a laptop dock or a USB charger. There is no separate power brick to find space for.
Which colour temperature should I use?
4000 K neutral suits most desk work. Use 6500 K daylight when you need alertness or accurate colour, and 3000 K warm in the evening, when cooler light is more likely to keep you awake.
Can I use it with a curved monitor?
Usually yes on a gently curved panel, because the clip rests on the top edge rather than gripping the back. On a tightly curved screen the bar may sit unevenly, since the bar itself is straight.
