Adjustable Monitor Riser

Sale price  $79.99 USD Regular price $99.99 USD

A steel riser with three locking heights and a perforated top that lets heat out. A monitor sitting directly on the desk is almost always too low, which is why most people spend the day looking down at it. A riser fixes the height and gives back the space underneath — and this one is vented, so a laptop or a console parked on it is not sitting on a solid plate.

Features and benefits

  • Three locking heights: 3.93 in, 4.73 in and 5.52 in
  • 160 perforations across the platform let heat escape from whatever sits on it
  • Heavy-gauge iron construction rated to 44 lb — monitors, printers, a laptop and dock together
  • Non-skid rubber under each leg grips the desk and protects the finish
  • Assembles in under a minute: four legs screw into the platform, no tools
  • Clears enough space beneath for a keyboard, a notebook or a laptop to slide away

Before you order

Measure before ordering. The platform is 14.37 in wide — that suits a monitor stand base or a laptop, but a wide monitor foot may overhang.

Set the height by where your eyes land, not by the maximum. The top of the screen should sit at or just below eye level when you are sitting upright.

This item ships from a US warehouse and usually arrives within about a week.

Good to know

How high should a monitor riser be?

High enough that the top of the screen is at or just below eye level when you sit upright and look straight ahead. Most people at a standard 29 in desk need between 4 and 6 in of lift, which is the range this riser covers in three steps.

Will my monitor fit on it?

The platform is 14.37 × 9.05 in. Measure the footprint of your monitor's stand — most single-monitor bases fit within that, but a wide or deep foot will overhang. Overhang is not dangerous provided the centre of gravity stays over the platform, but it looks untidy.

What are the holes for?

Heat. The 160 perforations let warm air rise away from whatever sits on the riser, which matters if you park a closed laptop or a games console on it rather than a monitor, since both vent from underneath.

Does it need tools to assemble?

No. The four legs screw into the platform by hand and the whole thing takes under a minute. The same applies to changing the height later — no tools, though you should clear the platform first.
